When news broke sometime ago that the majority shareholder of Impossible Project was also now the majority shareholder of Polaroid, rumors exploded. Our prediction? That the Impossible was indeed possible, Impossible Project was Polaroid. Not the pale version of the brand we’d come to know in recent years, but a rebirth of the instant film legend.
Now it seems that this is a reality. Impossibles site (http://impossible-project.com) now forwards directly to (https://us.polaroidoriginals.com) and the announcement teased by Polaroids site and social accounts turned out, for once, to be just what we hoped for, a brand new camera, the Instant One Step 2. It’s also a relaunch of the Polaroid brand in a new form and the end of another brand, The Impossible Project.
The Polaroid One Step 2 works with all types of 600 and I-type films. Features include an upgraded flash and lens as well a battery life of 60 hours, and the I-type film doesn’t require batteries, whereas the 600 film has the battery pack in the film cart.

UPDATE: My Polaroid One Step 2 from Polaroid Originals arrived this week, as did so many others from the first production run! I just want to thank Impossible Project for their hard work in the resurrection of instant film. Without them, this incredible, and yes impossible story wouldn’t have had such a happy ending and a bright new beginning. – Jef 10/19/17
